Remember when dots were only relegated to the genre of “retro” and “old-school”?
With the recycling of fashion, seems like it has joined their in-trend cousins once again.
Of course designs and styles have been revamped and tweaked but dots are still your star of the show, stealing the limelight.

No longer old-fashioned, here are some options that I’ wear in a heartbeat! Guess the key would be to avoid an overkill on them but a splatter of dots in your outfit will work, if done tastefully.

And yes, including those crazy-fun socks that I wish I could get my hands on!

A quick business trip with an extended weekend to the Land of Smiles meant lots of amazing food, shopping, traffic and good company.

Must do’s for me:

3. Siam Street Shopping for fun knick knacks and local designers’ pieces

5. Green papayas with salt and chilli
6. Roasted coconuts on-the-go
7. MBK Food Court: Stewed herbal beef noodles with mint leaves
8. People-watching (:

DIY. I have a knack of buying things that are 2 sizes up/ shoes that don’t fit… because it is the last piece! (Own up now, all of you!) So I’m no stranger to DIYs. Honestlywtf DIY site is so very cool and so very easy to get crafty and create a fashion sensation. Shout of thanks to Kels who introduced this on a dreary work day this week!

Lunch time = Catching up on reading time. I highly suspect being slightly autistic as a child. I really enjoy quiet time. Yes, I would be the insanely, weird, nerdy kid who demands that her family apply for library cards just so she maxes out the quota of 24 books per week.
I love the feeling of being engrossed in a good book. Love, would be an understatement.

Weekend Mornings. Down time with the baby; Unabashed to admit this.
And polishing off the morning with some old-ie but good-ie: Ba Chor Mee (Minced meat noodles), extra vinegar with unsweetened soya bean milk. Enough said!

Hao He Xiang Ba Chor Mee is situated at:

Wouldn’t it be nice to receive quotes like these when you only expected a bottle of beverage?
It would make my day, for sure.

And because today, the th one rang true. RIP greatgrandmoomers.

Do you know of anyone who owns a Snapple bottle cap collection? Because, these make me tempted to start one! (:

Pardon the disjointed writing style.  TGIF!

If you know me, you’d know I’m a huge fan of finger candies.
I’d spend most of my “accessories-allocated” money on them because, well, I love.

I’m on a constant hunt for interesting ones and have a soft spot for huge, art-worthy ones.
Words of wisdom from the brother sums it up quite nicely: “That thing on your finger… Is that about to be shipped to MOMA?”

Undaunted by his words of sarcasm, I am now inching towards the notion of knuckle rings (thin bands worn on the second section of your fingers) – Ring collection up soon!

Happy Almost-Midweek, Loves!

In tune with the superhero trend in films and theatres - Behold, our Supermoon!
Pretty amazing pictorial representations of nature and its wonder.

And for the girls who were with me on Friday night, what we caught a glimpse of (the "biscuit" in the sky, remember?) was probably, our Supermoon!

In one of my older blog posts from the Junior College days, I wrote about my oddest habit of observing people’s shoes. Well, then comes the observation of nails on guys, lengths of eyelashes on girls, length of trousers and the type of rings people have. A non-exhaustive list.

Before you write me off as a crazy stalker, just understand that I internalise those thoughts and never act on them (: But at the table, I find it ridiculously difficult to quell the comments running through my head. Not to sound xenophobic but a certain trait from a certain somewhere makes me cringe! I’d call it my pet peeves – chewing with your mouth open and with the saliva smacking sound and elbows in my space!

I grinned silly reading this illustrated series titled “How to Eat Dinner” from Gemma Correll for A Cup of Jo on table etiquette and thought I’d share.

Happy Thursday, all! (: (And greetings from the land of smiles! *rubs hands in anticipation!*)

Florals are making a comeback. Or is it?
Could you tell? That the 3 photos on the right are of 2009 runway pieces?
It does emphasise Mustard & mint’s operating principle: fashion pieces that never goes out of style.

Everyone knows I love Madewell. Concept, clothes, styling, everything…
Perhaps the only qualm I’d have is that the items are on the pricey side.
That being said, I’m obssessed with the printed ankle pants + blouse look and here are some outfits with just ONE Printed Pants from Madewell and blouses from Mustard & mint.

Fortunately, this is permitted as my staple work wear (I’m in ankle pants everyday! Plus it transitions well into the weekends!)

Quick post! Just wanted to share this as a TGIT (Desperate for the weekend, already heh!) piece!

What was supposed to be a candid shot while on a 10-K run turned a GQ-worthy, viral photo; attracted more than 31,000 FB followers ad 26,000 twitter fans. Amazing! Well, he really is rather photogenic. (:

Guffaws!
How funny the world and the WWW works!
